1. It was 37 degrees when I left for work this morning at 0500. The car was saying ICE POSSIBLE. Great Texans can't drive as it is & add ice to the mix...time to move.

2. My work is doing the BIGGEST LOSER: Government Edition. It starts November 2, 2008 and runs till Dec 1. Thank goodness it starts on Sunday b/c on Saturday...we're going to WURSTFEST 2008. which means lots of:

3. I am going here next week:
tower of the americas Pictures, Images and Photos The Tower of the Americas and having dinner at the Chart House. The restaurant rotates & you have incredible views of the city. Why am I going? B/c my husband is amazing & spoils me soooo much. He told me that we haven't had a date night in a while so he said he was taking me out...just because. Have I told you lately how MUCH I love that man??!!

4. While reading my blog list on Google Reader I came across something that made me squeal like a little girl. I may or may not have got up and danced around my townhouse and I may or may not have burst into song instantly. Dirty Dancing has been brought to the STAGE!!!

This was my ALL TIME favorite movie growing up. Looks like we'll be making a trip to Chicago or Boston this winter. I am so freaking excited.

Since everyone else is doing it!!!

1. Clothes Shop: I lust over Banana Republic & J. Crew but in reality I shop at Express and Victoria's Secret...their catalog is amazing.

2. Furniture Shop: Seabrook Classics....one day my house will be completely decorated like that. I also love Southern Living Home. It's become an obsession.

3. City: It's impossible for me to choose just one. So I'm going to go with my top 5...one of which I will be transferring to soon...but I'm on the government's time....not mine: (1) Charleston (2) Wilmington, NC (3) Savannah (4) Richmond, VA (5) DC...yes my dears I am a southern girl born and bred & I will only live in the south....I consider DC still the south, don't judge.

4. Sweet: Dark chocolate. Enough said. Specifically, Cheesecake Factory Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake & Tiramisu.

5. Drink: Sweet tea with lemon, VERY cold Fiji bottled water, and Coke classic in a GLASS bottle chilled. It is the best. I'm just sayin'.
Adult beverage: Malibu & Coke, Sangria Margaritas, & my MIL's Chocolate Martini's

6. Music: I'm a Country girl & that's what I will always be.

7. TV: Here's what I DVR: Paula Deen, Army Wives, The Unit, NCIS, One Tree Hill, the NEW 90210, Privileged, The Hills, John & Kate +8, Grey's & Private Practice....I have ADD when I watch TV...I can't sit still long enough to watch an entire show....so I DVR them and watch them later...fast-forwarding through the commercials.

8. Film: Top Gun- Classic. The Notebook- Chick flick. Sweet Home Alabama. Serendipity. Hope Floats.

9. Workout: Running for many many miles. Pure Barre. It's amazing & will introduce you to muscles you didn't even know you had. &..... I haven't done it in years but english horseback riding/show jumping...I didn't get the nickname: Buns of Steel for nothing.

10. Pastries: I'm not much of a pastry person...so I'd probably just eat a croissant if I had to.

11. Coffee: I'm NOT a Starbucks fan...it's overpriced & just not that good. I love Dunkin Donuts. It's not around anymore but in FL, Barnies was awesome...especially German Chocolate Cake. If I'm brewing it at home....I love Southern Butter Pecan & lots of cream.....1/2 & 1/2....bad I know!

My name is Mrs. Q, and I have a problem. I am addicted to beauty products. It's a sickness really. I cannot stop. So since there is nothing I can do about my addiction...I thought I'd share my 'must haves' with you.

Drum roll, please.....
~ Lotion: Johnson and Johnson's Bedtime Lotion...it has a light fresh lavender scent and is complimentary to almost any perfume
~ 'Tan in a can': Jergens Natural Glow Express Lotion...it's AMAZING & will make you tan in hours without turning you orange. It's in a very small bottle but is well worth every drop!
~ Mascara: Maybeline Great Lash Blackest Black....it's the familiar hot pink & green tube of mascara that's been around for years only it's SUPER black..great for gals with dark hair.
~ Eyeliner: Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eyeliner....it lasts FOREVER, doesn't run, burn or flake.
~ Chapstick: Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm...it's minty fresh and has a pretty strong scent so it will clean out your sinuses along with making your lips baby soft.
~ Shampoo/Conditioner: Head & Shoulders Smooth & Silky...your not going to believe this but it is the best straightening/anti frizz shampoo/conditioner. It has a great smell & is awesome for super long hair like mine that tends to get kinda dry because of the length.
~ Perfume: Estee Lauder's Sensuous...just go smell it & you'll see what I mean.

A beauty junkie's dream/nightmare....? ULTA.. check them out!

So what are your must haves? Come on feed my addiction!!!

A funny for the day....

So my step-son whom I'll call Pumpkin (his nickname) for the purposes of this blog knows every freakin' song on the radio! He will yell at us in the car to turn it up because, "HE LOVES THIS SONG." He knows every word & will sing along quietly. My husband & I think it is so cute when he's singing. So the other day while listening to Hinder's Lips of an Angel....he's singing along and when it comes to the part:

My girl's in the next room....we hear him sing...my girl's in the restroom...we busted out laughing. He's 5 so it's completely adorable.

Apparently this 'talent' runs in the family....my in-laws are HUGE Eagles fans....so my husband when he was about 3 loved to sing their song: Take it to the Limit.... only he would sing: Take it To the Living Room. Picturing my husband as a 3 year old singing that???!!!! PRICELESS!!!
