Waiting...

So I'm home sick from work today. I'm having some tests run b/c of some female issues & extreme pain I've been having. Nothing too serious I hope, just trying to be precautious b/c of my family history. The outcome of these tests could however affect my ability to have a baby.

Being able to have a baby or not has me more worried than having some pre-cancerous cells. Is that crazy? My husband is being great, but I can tell he's scared. I'm only in my 20's, been married only 4 months and I have my entire life ahead of me, have a great government job, an amazing husband, new house etc. Waiting on the results of this phone call could change my life forever. Life as I know it could be turned upside down.

Prayer is really helping. If I can just remain positive and stop worrying. Easier said than done. Somehow, I think worrying is a female gene. ;-)

Love it...

~ All things Sangria..margarita swirled sangria, or just a nice glass of it. You all should try it. It's sweet and not quite as strong as red wine.

~ My DVR~ so that I can tape my shows. My guilty pleasures right now are the Hills, the new 9021o, Privileged, and One Tree Hill. Thank goodness for the DVR, so I'm not stuck watching all things sports or sci fi.

~ This cooler weather that we are having. Anything is better than 104 degrees over the weekend.

~ My Samsung Instinct- I LOVE my phone, it has TV, videos, music, satelite radio, and GPS so I will never be lost again. AND, everything is included for $99/month...Finally, I have a 'cool' phone & I finally understand the obsession with 'crackberries'....lol

~ My runs in the morning. I've found a new trail and I'm really pushing myself.

Namaste Yoga...it's addicting.

~ Cooking dinner for my husband...it's so rewarding to be able to take care of him.

And it continues...

The Hubby

A little something something about my other half...
1. He's sitting in front of the TV, what is on the screen?
Well being the typical guy, he's watching some time of sporting event, Deadliest Catch, or the Food Network. This is the best time to ask him for extra cash, new shoes, and purses...ha ha jk....He will have tunnel vision if the Sooners are on though...If they are on, I'm right there next to him.
2. You're out to eat; what kind of dressing does he get on his salad?
ranch or caesar. he’s most def. NOT the hugest salad fan though—only if it has a ton of meat and cheese on it.

The day the world stopped turning...

I remember it like it was yesterday. I was going to school at UCF. I was just getting to campus when I noticed TONS of students pouring into the student union. I followed them. Once inside, I saw hundreds upon hundreds of students crowded all over the union sitting indian style on the floor watching a huge projection screen. The images displayed on the screen were unbelievable. It was like a nightmare come true. I remember dropping my bag on the floor and collapsing on my knees, bursting into tears and just watching the unimaginable events unfolding before my eyes. I remember that they closed the campus and sent everyone home. 35, 000 students evacuated. At the time, we weren't sure who or what would be the next target. I remember going home and being completely numb. The news reports continued to pour in of all the casualties. My heart just ached for everyone involved. I remember going to mass that evening with my family. You would have thought it was Christmas or Easter as our little church was packed. All those parishioners searching for some comfort, answers, and hope from Father Trout.

The thing I remember most is how united America was. We came together as a nation. With the upcoming election, I think some of us have forgotten how we need to come together not become divided.  Please watch this video. Pray for our troops.
